For making available material for historical research, the Editors wish to thank The Marion Public Library and J. Wilbur Jacoby who loaned the Official Record of the Centennial Celebration and whose volume, History of Marion County and Representative Citizens, published in 1907, proved a valuable source of reference. Other volumes referred to are History of Marion County (1883) and Howe's Historical Ohio. Most of the biographies have been checked and corrected, where necessary, by the persons concerned.
