3. Magdalena JAEGER was born on Dec 2 1791 in Rittershoffen, Weissenburg, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. She was christened on Dec 4 1791 in Rittershoffen, Weissenburg, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. She died on Feb 1 1873 in Marion Co., Ohio. Johann George RETTERER cultivater and Magdalena JAEGER had the following children:

i. Philippe RETTERER was born on Feb 27 1817 in Rittershoffen, Weissenburg, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. He married Mary Magdalena Myers in Marion County, Ohio. He died on May 31, 1880 in Marion County, Ohio.

ii. Magdalena RETTERER was born on May 27 1819 in Rittershoffen, Weissenburg, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. She married Nathan Barlett Capen in Ohio. She died on Nov 1, 1920 in Marion, Ohio.

iii. George RETTERER was born on May 3 1821 in Rittershoffen, Weissenburg, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. He married Catharina Myers on Nov 12, 1842 in Marion County, Ohio. He died on Dec 22 1900 in Marion Co., Ohio.

v. Jacques RETTERER was born on Mar 12 1826 in Rittershoffen, Weissenburg, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. He married Sophia Myers on Nov 5, 1848 in Marion County, Ohio. He died on Jul 3 1897 in Marion Co., Ohio.

vi. Frideric RETTERER was born on Dec 15 1828 in Rittershoffen, Weissenburg, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. A family history written around 1920 indicated that he died at sea. One line of the family said the ship almost reached America so the family kept the body hidden until they disembarked. He supposedly was buried in Philadelphia. (Note from Nancy Earl)

vii. Jean George RETTERER was born in 1825 and married Elizabeth McNeal: three of his children married Retterers. John L. married Sarah Retterer, daughter of Jacques Retterer, Margarethe married George Retterer Jr. and when she died he married her sister, Mary A. Heinemann.

5. Madeleine MUELLER was born about 1758 in Winzenbach, Wissembourg, Alsace-Lorraine, France. She died on Feb 4 1807 in Hatten, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. Frederic RETTERER zimmerman and Madeleine MUELLER had the following children:

i. Saloman RETTERER zimmerman was born in 1789 in Hatten, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France. He died on Feb 15 1805 in Hatten, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France.

ii. Jacques Frideric ROEDERER was born about 1790 in Hatten, Bas-Rhin, Alsace-Lorraine, France.
